Letters/Comments on Legislation, Rulemaking, and Voluntary Standards:​​

  • ​​VAFAW comments to the American Association of Bovine Practioners about their dehorning guidelines. ​(November 2024)​

  • ​​VAFAW letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry opposing the inclusion of the EATS Act in the reauthorization of the Farm Bill. ​(October 2024)​

  • VAFAW comments to the AVMA Animal Welfare Committee on their Pregnant Sow Housing Policy (July 2024) â€‹

  • VAFAW comments to the Food Safety and Inspection Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, on Petition #23-07 by Animal Partisan, which calls on the agency to help ensure law enforcement can appropriately enforce state animal cruelty and neglect laws when FSIS personnel discover evidence they have been violated.(March 2024)
